wishy washy

Last night my washing machine decided to jump around the laundry right on the rinse cycle, so I had to ring out all the clothes & towels. My hands felt like prunes! Oh, to be a woman before washing machines, how did you do it? Sounds funny, but I have actually been enjoying housework lately. I like having a clean, organised house, it feels more like a home.

By the way, I have started making a new blanket. If you have seen my earlier posts (last years) you would have seen that I crocheted a blanket for my sister for Christmas. It was my first crochet project, and I was very happy with it. So I have decided to start a new one, but in a patchwork style. It will be half knitted squares, half crocheted squares, then I'm going to find a way (probably through a youtube tutorial) to knit them all together. Here's something similar to what I want.

This is similar, but every second square will be crocheted.

Here is my first square..

What projects have you got going at the moment?
