so..sydney & me

The next few weeks are going to be fairly hectic, wedding business and such, so yesterday was a great opportunity to see my 2 best friends. Unfortunately, they were 2 separate visits, because one lives here in Newcastle, and the other in North Sydney. But, all the same, I had a lovely day. I went to Lyndsey's in the morning and got to see my little god-daughter. She knows my straight away now, it's so endearing. We had lunch, chatted, and watched Nyah attempting to crawl. Most adorable little crab she is. ha.

There she is, the clever little pumpkin.

After a lovely, but short, visit, I caught the train down to Sydney to see my other girl, Bron. I met her and we went straight to her little apartment, which I love. It's just the right size for her, and it's filled with her little bits and pieces, including her craft, which is wonderful. We took a bus to Crows Nest for dinner, picked up a bottle of bubbly and had a lovely Italian meal at Pino's. After that we walked home and spent the night talking, giggling over photos (Bron did most of the giggling) and talking to our other friend, Andrew, who now lives in Canberra, via speakerphone. One of the best things about the trip, Bron making me pancakes with maple syrup for breakfast! What a good host.

The girls. 17 year friendship and counting.

Very long trip back today, but I slept most of it. I think it's the weather. Instead of the disgusting heat, it's been rather rainy and a bit humid. Perfect nap weather.

Anyway, before I go, here's a silly little thing from urbandictionary.com (the part about lists is deadly accurate).

Laura is: A girl who is awesome in every way, can be shy at times and crazy (especially when she is sugar high) the next, but is always a fun person to be around. She likes to make lists and keep everything in order. She loves to be creative with her stories she writes, and takes too many photos on her camera. She loves to hang out with a group of friends at all times. Reading is her favorite pastime. You will never regret ever meeting a Laura. She likes to keep everything in order, and makes sure everything is in its place, except not really. Best Traits: can keep secrets when she wants to, can always cheer people and friends up, knows the right moment when a friends in need.

Yep. That's me alright.

Goodnight all,
lm. x
