silver lining.

As you may know, before Christmas I tried to make Nigella's recipe for chocolate & pistachio fudge, which, much to my dismay, did not work. My mistake was that I changed the chocolate from dark to milk and the nuts from pistachios to macadamias. I don't think milk chocolate has as rich a consistency as dark. Oh well.

SO... my lovely friend, Lyndsey, just directed me to the Cadbury website to show me how to make something delicious. I cannot wait to try it out.. even the name makes my tummy grumble.. "milk chocolate nut fudge".

Ps. The most amazing ingredient, peanut butter. Whoever decided to put peanut butter and chocolate together was a genius!

Onto other news.. yesterday I went with my family to my aunty Bev's house for a visit and a swim. It was a really nice afternoon. I had a quick swim, then spent the rest of the afternoon in the air conditioning with my mum and aunty Bev, chatting and having nibbles on biscuits with cheese & tomato. I don't mind what anyone says, but I think that is the perfect food for after a swim. Anyway, aunty Bev's mother passed away a few years ago now, and she has a few things of hers left. Out of pure generosity (and because she knows I love these things) she gave me something of her mothers which I am utterly grateful for.

I think they look like something out of a dollhouse. They are just so pretty.

Alright, I'm off to eat dinner. Have a lovely evening.

Signing off,
