wonderful world

Hello loves. This is a little bit delayed, I meant to post last night but I was beat! A very long & eventful weekend. And of course I have some stories and photos of my trappings (lucky girl!). On Saturday I travelled up to Newcastle to go birthday shopping with my mum.. it was a bit of a miserable day, weather wise, but we made the most of it. First we went to this great op-shop in Glendale and I scored a collapsible shoe rack for $5 & this gorgeous thing for $10.

As you can see, it has a gold bow at the back & a little plume of feathers.

Everyone else seemed to have the same idea though, because it was mayhem! We had tea & scones for morning tea & then did some hardcore shopping. Mum was super generous & bought me a pair of skinny leg jeans, 2 pairs of black tights (which are currently in the wash) and these little puppies..

Not great photos, sorry. I had a pair pretty identical to these when I was little.

Then after coming home & having a long bath and a nap (yes, a nap) I got ready and I went out for dinner with Zane and my friends at Zinc on Darby street. I am waiting for my friend Andrew to upload the photos from that night, so I will post them asap. Anyway, it was a great night, and apart from a gorgeous black forest cake with chocolate cream icing, I got some little gifties!

A faux snakeskin notebook & some handmade crocheted doilies from Bron.

The beautiful cake & this gorgeous kokeshi keyring from Lynds, Ben & Ny.

Then Sunday was my actual birthday. My sister & her husband came over for lunch, which was really lovely. And yes, I got some more gifts. Way too spoiled for a woman my age. Millie & Mick bought me 2 bras (not pictured here) a bra wash bag and 2 cute candles that look like country style jam jars.

They smell amazing!

My brother dropped in when I was still asleep that morning, but unfortunately wasn't feeling great, so he left. Things have recently been resolved between him and I, so I was glad he made the effort. He bought me a lovely card & 'The Lost Boys' soundtrack. If he had of been there, I think it would have been the cherry on the cake of a great weekend.

OH.. before I went home, mum gave me a pyrex pie dish (seeing that I baked my last pie in a casserole dish that was a little too deep).

Then last night, after coming home, and all the festivities were over, I cuddled up with my beautiful pup. She's not so little anymore, getting heavier all the time, but I still love to pick her up & carry her around like she's tiny.

I love my family, my friends, my fiance & my pup. I'm a pretty happy girl right now.
