fly by night... the last week.

Hello all.

From last Saturday to today, it has been one of the busiest, longest & hardest weeks we've ever had. Last weekend was great, I met Zane at the tattoo shop & he bought me lunch at the little cafe downstairs, which was beautiful.

Then on Tuesday night we went out for dinner & dessert, followed by some video games at this old arcade near the water. It was good old fashioned fun!

Friday was month end at work, which is sometimes stressful, so I was really glad that the long weekend was not far away.

Saturday morning I went to the gym, as usual, but I got a phone call on the way home from Zane, saying that his dad had had a heart attack & was going down to the royal north shore hospital. His dad hasn't been well lately, but this was definitely a shock. So Zane & his brother & mum were planning to go down to Sydney on Sunday. I was meant to go as well, but I woke up to a spinning room, collapsing & hours of vomiting. So I stayed home while they went to see him.

Not only that, I got a text message early yesterday morning from a dear friend of mine, telling us that our friend, Jan, who has been battling 2 brain tumors & has been in a nursing home for months, had passed away. She has been so unwell for so long, with breast cancer & cancer in other areas. It's sad & relieving at the same time. We miss her so much, but are comforted to know she is in glory now. We love you Jan & miss you so much.

Revelation 21:4
And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."

Note: Today, Zane's mum went down to Sydney to see his dad. He is awake, talking & the tubes have been taken out, praise God. He should be coming home by the end of the week!

love, lm. x
