inspired

After my 1st official day as Ny's nanny, I took the long drive home & turned on the radio to find 'the doctor' interviewing the one & only Chuck Palahniuk on triple j. Wow. He is an amazing & interesting man. They talked about his various books, in particular 'fight club'. It was wonderful how he described the physical sensation he tries to describe through words to connect with the reader. Physicality is something we can understand & so Chuck uses violence, sex, disease & drugs because these are things we can all feel, understand & empathise with in a very real way. I know I've read alot of books that describe emotions & I can't always relate. But physical descriptions really help me to connect with the characters & story.

Now for a list of some of my favourite books:
  • The Picture of Dorian Gray - Oscar Wilde
  • Flowers in the Attic - Virginia Andrews
  • Daughter of Fortune - Isabel Allende
  • A million little pieces- James Frey
  • The lovely bones- Alice Sebold
What is your favourite book of all time & why?

love,

And the bracelet and necklace, I'm going to be stylin'! Thank you so much! Oh, and you should check out "Bright Shiny Morning" by James Frey, it's really interesting! XO!

My fave read is the Josephine B Trilogy but particularly the first book.

I have started Dorian Gray a number of times and then get distracted from it. Must pick it up again and persist.

I'm currently reading A Scandalous Life about Jane Digby and is an extremely interesting read about her life. I haven't had something capture my attention like that for a while.

Mwah xx

I loved Daughter of Fortune! I think my favorite book of all time would have to be The Great Gatsby. It brings out so many emotions in me.
