Life is pretty good right now. But as I say this, there is always a lingering thought of selfishness in the back of my mind. The fact that life is good for me, and for so many others at this point in time, life is painful. Of course I'm talking about the current issue in Haiti. I just wonder what kind of response there would be from the US if GWB was still in presidency. Anyway, I hope some changes happen really soon for Haiti, it's been a destitute, seemingly cursed place for a long time.
People like her deserve a chance.
I know my blog is generally happy and sentimental, and I rarely mention world issues or get on my political soap box. But I think, as a world, something needs to be done. We are not divided just because there are oceans between us, we are a community. All human, all with blood in our veins and breath in our lungs, we are human.
