news flash.

Life has been pretty good lately, I must say. Apart from picnics, visits at mums, birthday shopping & new clothes, I got a hair-cut! And I have to say, it's a drastic one. I have had super long hair for ages and now it's above my shoulders. Huge change.. I'm not quite used to it yet. Take a look and tell me what you think.

Great news on the job front! I got a phone call from Jobfind yesterday asking me if I'd be interested in a reception position in a law firm in Gosford, and of course I said yes! So I went in for a chat with my liaison today and I think she is going to organise an interview with them for me. Cross your fingers for me!

After that, Zane and I went shopping for my birthday. He bought me a lovely lunch at this new cafe called 'Cinnamon Beans'. Beautiful sandwich and milkshake! Then we shopped until our feet hurt. I haven't shopped like that in ages. A few funny things happened while we were there too. Some strange man who smelled like wine came up to Zane in JB-hifi and asked if his ears (plugs) hurt and could he touch them? haha. Zane just walked away. Also when we were in big-w looking for camping gear, there was a group of ladies around a clearance bin and 1 woman picked up an opened packet of razors and said "Oh razors, my husband loves razors". hhmm.

Then tonight, after a huge nap, I had easymac for dinner, baked a cake and read Ghost World. Pretty relaxed night, in other words.

Makes me want to hire out the movie again.

Last night Zane and I went to our friends house for dinner. It was really lovely. We stayed there talking all night and the conversation turned to our same sex crushes. It was really funny and mine was Thora Birch. I think she's beautiful.

Anyway, the rest of the week is going to be super busy! Tomorrow is the only day I really have free, so I'm going to spend it doing housework & then whatever I want. Here's what is planned from Thursday onwards:
  • Thurs: Shopping with Melissa & the kids for camping gear. Mostly want to find some gumboots for camping in a few weeks.
  • Fri: Banking & errands followed by craft in Newcastle
  • Sat: Betty's 90th birthday lunch
  • Sat night: Melissa, Adam & kids for dinner and staying over
  • Sun: Mother's Day spent at mum's.
Very busy, but it's all things I love to do.

Have a great week sweethearts.
