master of procrastination

currently listening to: "Canned Heat" - Jamiroquai
current love: freshly ironed blouses

I have 3 weeks left of tafe and I have alot to do before the end of the year including:
  • an instruction manual for various types of technology
  • a spreadsheet exam
  • a database exam
  • a circulation exam
  • and a written test, which I'm not too sure about.
So, that's why I'm here of course. I put in a few hours work today on the instruction manual, so I thought I'd take a break and write a fairly full entry today. I went to visit the ladies at e.h.p.s today when I picked up my nephews. Mel said her son took one of my cupcakes, from the party the other night, to work today and said they were delicious! I wish I took a photo, they were fairly impressive. Peppermint green icing, white lace-like piping around the edges and an icing rose in the center.

As we all know, Christmas is very close, and the shopping centers and grocery stores are nothing short of suffocating. There has to be a solution to this problem. Maybe next year I should start shopping in June/July? No use worrying now, I'm nearly done, and there are only a few weeks left.

Some of the trappings.

On the crocheting front, it is growing so quickly. The plan is to give it to my sister for Christmas, so I just hope I have it ready.

(note: I bought some more balls of wool because they are on special at the moment. It is the softest wool and only $1.50 a yarn.

While I was shopping yesterday, I bought a new dress. It has been so hot lately, and I wanted something I could just get around the house in. Something breezy and cool.

Please excuse the messy background, but that's a 'student' for you.

As I've mentioned before, I am moving in January and I have alot to move. The main thing I am worried about moving are my books. I'm not worried they'll get damaged, I'm only pitying the poor fool who has to carry them all. It will probably be me, so there you go.

January 2 will be a back breaking day.

Tonight, as I have been on the computer alot, I have looked through random blogs when I veer away from my work. I have noticed the trend of baking/cooking/culinary blogs and am fascinated at how many talented cooks there are around. Not to mention beautiful photographers who capture these really delicious looking dishes. Maybe I should dig through my own recipes and pass them on to some of you. But for now, I must put my nose back on that grindstone.

Signing off,
lm. x
